The noise levels were bothersome, as soundproofing around the windows was lacking. it felt like the outside world was right in the room with me. The pillows were stiff and uncomfortable, making it tough to catch quality sleep, and the room could use a thorough clean, as dust was noticeable in several spots. Lastly, the room's overall size was cramped, which limited movement and comfort during my stay.

Luggage access was challenging due to steep stairs. The room featured a comfortable bed with clean amenities.

I stayed for 3 nights in a Double Room with Private External Bathroom. The location was fantastic for reaching the Edinburgh Conference Centre, just a 10-minute walk. The room was nice, the shower was hot, and there was great information provided in the welcome folder.

The overhead light in the room didn't work.

The carpet looked very worn and felt more like a hostel!!! The presence of loose screws on the floor was concerning, not a great find when walking barefoot!!! The furniture could definitely use an upgrade!!!

The location is sweet as, heaps close to the city centre. But I had to lug my bags up three flights of stairs, which wasn't ideal, eh?

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Residence, No 57. The location was fantastic, allowing easy walks to major attractions. The hospitality was exceptional, with the owner being incredibly kind and attentive to our needs, making the experience memorable.

Just a fine choice for a little getaway in Edinburgh with incredible value for money. The bed was comfy which helped a lot after a long day. Be prepared for some narrow stairs if you have heavy luggage.
